From the department of culture of the town hall of Tomiño multiple activities are created and designed to meet the demand and needs of the population. Various training courses are organized each year, and subsidized by the entity. In addition, it is carried out a program of annual local volunteering. We are also a sending and hosting organization of European volunteers, concerning (being the only) throughout the area. We inform and advise actively in and from our social networks (Facebook; OMIX TOMIÑO twitter: @TominoCULTURA). We are also creating a "strategic agenda of transboundary cooperation" with our Portuguese neighbor, the municipality of Vila Nova de Cerveira. In addition, we carry out cultural and educational activities throughout all year and we celebrate relevant ephemeris. From the town hall of Tomiño we got accreditation as a sending and hosting organization of European voluntary service (reference number 2011 - IS-32), we welcomed four people as European volunteers from Estonia, Poland, Greece and Romania (IS-21 -144-2012-R2) (IT-21-34 -2013-R1) and we also sent multiple people to different countries to conduct their EVS. We also carried out action 4.3 (IT-43-37 -2011-R2), action 5.1. Tomiño nas Europas (ES-S1-E/ 8-2013-R3), IN A YOUTH EXCHANGE ERAPLUS 2011-ES-32). We also took part as "partners" in different European projects carried out in the Czech Republic, Poland and Estonia. Moreover, we offer and develop training workshops in relation to the youth in action program and Erasmus plus. The responsible for the European programs is the current culture engineer who until a few months ago dealt exclusively with the municipal office of youth information. She has experience in drafting and justification of European projects, as well as coordinating, organizing, reporting, training, advising European volunteers, carrying out youth exchange projects with several countries and being responsible for the group of local volunteering that currently has 25 boys and girls. With regard to Erasmus + program, she attended training seminars given by the Spanish National Agency.
